Our Story & The Bosham Community
How it began...
After a long career as a marketing director, when the village confectionery shop became vacant in 2023 it spelled the freedom to make work fit around life, right where we live seconds from Bosham harbour.
For a lifelong ice cream and chocolate-lover, with a side interest in confectionery history, this was fate calling!
With the help of daughter Isabelle, who’d worked at the previous shop through her student years, in 1 month we set up systems, ordered equipment and stock and opened Bosham Sweets & Ice Cream in December 2023.
We now have a fantastic team of locals scooping ice cream through the summer!

Our shop is a happy space with a tradition of keeping locals and visitors alike supplied with sweet treats. All of our team live locally, most of them in the village.
We are a step back in time where your sweets are weighed into striped paper bags, reducing packaging and waste.
Products are sourced locally where practical, including Montezuma’s chocolate made in Birdham just across the harbour. Our ice cream is from New Forest Ice Cream, award-winning family-run business just along the coast. Our bottled water is South Downs Water in recyclable glass bottles.
Around 95% of our sweet provisions are made here in the UK.
