Most of us love a scoop of ice cream, but we often view it as a guilty pleasure.
We asked a nutritionist whether our love of ice cream can be part of a balanced and therefore healthy diet.

Whilst ice cream brings my favourite kind of nutrient (vitamin JOY!), it also contains nutrients that come naturally from dairy, including calcium, iodine, vitamin B12 and protein. These nutrients contribute to normal bone health, energy-yielding metabolism and nervous system function.
Dairy foods can provide valuable nutrition, and enjoying the foods we love can play an important role in our overall wellbeing. Ice cream is a delicious indulgence that can be enjoyed alongside a varied and balanced diet.”

We wholeheartedly agree! And we suggest you choose quality ice cream, such as New Forest Ice Cream, a premium product made from fresh milk, double cream and free from artificial flavours.
